A connection reimagined.
The original Third Street Bridge linked the city’s East and West sides before its collapse in 1976. In 2016, the Star Bridge reinterpreted that connection with strings of light above the street.
Avram Golden initiated the project in memory of his brother Ari. Community members helped fund its first lights in tribute to people important to them, with memorial plaques honoring those connections.
Art around every corner.
The district includes Greek God as Astronaut by Paolo Pedini and A Talk with Nature by Trevor Edmonds. Together with the lights, the murals create a distinctive setting for a walk, a photograph, or time with friends.
